FAQ
Questions clients ask before they call
Straight answers, without promises. If your question is not here, send it to us.
What is the difference between an advocate and a legal consultant?
In the UAE, advocates are registered to appear before the courts; legal consultants advise but do not plead. Our founder is a registered advocate, so the person who advises you can also represent you in court.
Which courts can you appear before?
Our founding advocate is registered before the federal courts and the Ras Al Khaimah courts, at First Instance and Appeal. For other courts, or for cassation-level matters, we work with advocates admitted there and tell you before you engage us.
How much does a consultation cost?
We confirm the consultation fee when you book, before the meeting. Fees for cases are agreed in writing before any work begins.
How are your fees structured?
A fixed fee per stage, an hourly rate for advisory work, or a monthly retainer for businesses. Court, expert and translation costs are separate and listed in your engagement letter.
Can you guarantee the result?
No advocate can guarantee a court's decision, and we never will. We give you an honest view of your chances and risks, then work for the best achievable outcome.
How long will my case take?
It depends on the court, the type of case and whether an expert is appointed. We give you a realistic timeline at the consultation and update it as the case moves.
Can you help if I live outside the UAE?
Yes. We meet by video and act under a power of attorney. A power of attorney signed abroad usually has to be notarised, attested and translated into Arabic before use in the UAE; we explain the steps for your country.
Do you work in English?
Yes. We advise in Arabic and English. Most onshore court proceedings run in Arabic, so we arrange certified legal translation where needed.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. Advocates are bound by professional secrecy under UAE law. Please share only a short summary until we confirm there is no conflict of interest.
Can I contact you on WhatsApp?
Yes, for first contact and scheduling. Legal advice is given in a consultation, not in quick chat replies.
Why do you ask for the other party's name?
Before we hear the details of your matter we must confirm that we do not act for the other side. Asking for the other party's name first protects you and keeps your information confidential.
What happens after the consultation?
If you decide to instruct us, we send an engagement letter setting out the scope, the fee basis and estimate, and the expected expenses. Work starts once you sign it.
Discuss your matter with an advocate
Send us a short summary of your matter. We confirm there is no conflict of interest, then ask for your documents. We aim to reply within one working day.
